Procedure in Mumbai in Hindu family for son and daughter for joint ownership of flat in cooperative society after recent demise of mother. There is no will and the the flat was in the mother's name and she had nominated son and daughter 50-50.

Hindu Law is same in all over India. If daughter and son are only legal heir then both are entitled to have equal proportion.
