Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I have purchased a property in year 2012 from Mr. A and done all legal works. I have all the papers like 'Dakhil-Khariz' and my name on 'Khatauni ' given from Tehsil. I have constructed my home here in this period. I am paying Electricity Bill and House Rent too.Now I have came to know that Mr. had done some fraud in year 1984 with the real owner of property "Mr. X". Yet Mr. A is saying that this property is his and he is also showing the leagal papers given from Tehsil. Now Mr. X had filed complaint against mr. A and asking us to leave the property. What we should do now?

Dear Sir / Madam,
You are safe if you had clearly verified that the name of the seller actually existed as the Owner of the property in the record of the Tahsildar / District Registrar. If not, you are a mere trespasser in the property if the name of Mr. X actually exists as the title holder of the property in the record of the Tahsildar / District Registrar for which you need to file a cheating case against Mr. A for the purchase consideration paid by you to Mr A claiming refund of the entire purchase consideration with compensatory damages.
