Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
This is a query regarding ancestral property. There are 6 siblings - 3 sons and 3 daughters. There is property which is in fathers name which has not yet been transferred to any of the sons. In 1993, the father had transferred land and property to the sons only, without giving anything to the daughters. Besides these properties, there are still few properties which are still in the fathers name. Can the daughters claim their rights on the properties which are still in fathers name, even if the father had verbally committed to the sons that the properties are only for them and not to be given to the daughters.
