Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

i have received power of attorney executed by my brother in my favour at USA and given power to me to sale the property which is in india.now the stamp collector directed me to pay the stamp duty on the said document as in the said power of attorney sale and consideration reciving powers are given so whether it is necessary to pay stamp duty and its registration . sec. 32 and 33 of registration act and art 48 of bombay stamp act

I don't think that its necessary to put up stamp duty and to register that. POA can be executed at any place and will have the force of law.
