Mortgage has to be registered withe the Sub Registrar's office, at the place where property is situated. However, agreement can be executed at any place irrespective of hte place were property is situated.

1) The agreement may be registered with the Sub Registrar office, within the local limits of who�s the whole or part of the mortgaged property is situate.
