I am a resident of Bhubaneswar. My father expired in the year 1998. We are four brothers and four sisters.The property (house and land) is in the name of my mother.Whether all my brothers and sisters including my mother can relinquish their right on the property in favour of me by executing a deed?
Please advise me.

all your brothers and sisters including your mother are equal owners. she can only relinquish her share and not the share of others.
Sir, you are not clear whether the property is self acquired property of mother or she got it after the death of your father. If property belongs to your mother, then she may give during her life time to one by Gift Deed or Sale Deed. There is no need of relinquishment deed during her life time from your brothers and sisters. But after mothers death, if she dies without leaving a will, then in that case you would require Relinquishment deed from your brothers and sisters and which they can if they want.
