Could you please let me know whether on selling house in Vadodara (Gujarat ), amount so received by deal has to be invested in buying property. Is it TRUE ?

No it is not true. What ever amount you receive as consideration on selling the house, you can utilize it for your own purpose for any cause. There cannot be any such regulations as you mentioned.
