Legal Question in Real Estate Law in

I have taken a shop on rent. The owner of the property is asking me to pay the property tax; but it was not agreed initially. Do tenants need to pay property tax or should it be paid by the property owner ? Please advise. Thanks.

no, tenants are not liable to pay the property tax and it is the landlord who is liable to pay.

The liability will depend upon local laws - Rent Act of your State as also the Municipal Laws.
