Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

The one side boundary of my property was documented incorrectly in the original deed, I verified with register office they asked for a rectification dead and same duty is as equal to New registration. Is this correct??. If no how much I should buy stamp duty. Please help me in this. This issue is with tamilnadu registration and the site is in Chennai, ayapakkam TNHB..
