Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

sir my family stays in our own house from 10 years, land was purchased 10 years back,then we constructed building in the same land, all deeds, and documents, up to date tax till date all are with my name only, more over still i am paying loan amount every month to a government bank, 10 years back i borrowed loan from govt bank.

but now some person have filed a case in court not only against me, almost my neighbours around 25 family's who are all staying in same area, so the claim is people who sold land to us, thier father 40 years back kept all deeds and documents with this person for some amount?, then he says he did not paid the amount.

now recently from court we are getting letters saying that we have to attend in court regarding this issue.

so what we have to do for this problem, we have to take up case with lawer or we have to ask our land lord we sold land to us.

we are all panic, total we recevied 25 letters for each house, all families stay in same area please let us know what we have to do for this situation.

please give us suggession what we have to do?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Collective bargaining is the way forward. You should ask the person who has filed the case against the 25 residents including yourself for documentary evidence. You will also need the help and support of the local Municipal Corporator / MLA whose attention you must draw to amicably address and resolve it. Court action is not recommended.
