Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Sir, My father bought 2 cent land from a person in 1999 and didnt care for it till recently. Now , it is found to be sold to some one in 2001, again in 2009, also in 2009; by forming a mafia syndricate. They have asceeded our 2cents with 1acre besiding our plot and sold it. To whom does it legally belong to? Can we go legally on it? Kindly show us the solution.
