Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hello Sir, My grandfather father brought a property together with his brother 50:50(Self acquired) .He died leaving no will. Now that property is not been sold yet or any agreement been made by my grandfather with anyone. My great grandfather has 1 son(My grandfather),who has one son and 3 daughter and we are 2 brothers 2 sisters. As far as i read my father has no right to that property as it it not ancestral property for him but as far as i understand i do have rights with my brother in that property.(On 50%i think) .Now i am afraid my grandfather wish to sell that property to other party not a family member..Can i claim my rights or is there any option to stop any sell of that property i just want that that property remains in my family and can i take any step from before as that property cannot to sold without our consent.?? Please clarify
