Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I stayed at a house in Bangalore BTM layout. We had a rental agreement. As i had to leave within less time the owner said he would transfer the money. Because we had a cordial relation i obliged understanding that returning the money in a week would be difficult.

Its been 2 months now and the owner or the broker are not picking up calls

i moved out to a different city now and am not able to reach them.

I have a rental agreement in place

Please advice on the further course of action

Dear Sir / Madam,

You ought to have insisted on the return of your Security Deposit back to you on the day you handed over the keys of the house to the house owner. You will need to personally go and meet the house Owner and claim whatever remaining balance Security Deposit lies with him. If he fails to retturn it then, you should lodge a Police complaint in the nearest Police station for immediate remediation.
