Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I am staying in chawl in mumbai. The room was purchased by my father in 1959 under pagadi system. My father expired in year 2000. We have file legal suit in year 2001 and received court verdict in our favour in year 2005. At present in this room I and my mother stays. Now though court have given verdict in our favour landowner refuse to accept rent and issue rent receipt either in my mother name or in my name. I have tooken advice from my lawyer, he says if you wish you can pay some ransome to building owner and can take rent receipt in your favour. My question is can i ask owner to issue one rent receipt in two name that is in my plus my mother name? because if same will be transferred to my mother name i have doubt that my sister can play behind role and sale it same by pining my mother. My sister is demanding rights in this room will she have rights?
