Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I have given token money of 1.5 lacs as advance for booking a resale flat in Cash ! I have taken the acknowledgement from the seller in white paper with a revenue stamp fixed mentioning the details of both part and total consideration money. Is it valid ? Can the seller now deny the payment made such way to cheat me ?

Yes, it is a valid receipt. However, from the facts it is not clear if it has been attested by two witnesses or not.
