Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am unmarried senior citizen woman leaving with my mother in pagdi system house inherited by my father. My brother and sister are now claiming their right on property.

They are threatening me and my mother for transferring property on their name or they will send legal notice.

I have also given them option that I will give you equivalent share of the property but they are refusing and asking me to transfer entire property to their name.

1. I can not transfer a single property to two people

2. Both are not cooperating for settlement

3. Me and my mother do not have any other house to live.

They both are harassing me and my 85+ mother...

Pls help and advise...

Had your father left any WILL? If there is any WILL then property shall devolve according to WILL otherwise being the legal heir your brother, sister shall be entitled to have share along with you and your mother. You and your mother are equally entitled to share the property. In such case property shall be divided in four equal portion including you and your mother.
