Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pakistan
we have written agreement of rented house(as tannet). we have completed the three year rent agreement with 5% increase in the rent for next two years. on completion of agreed tenure the land lord agreed to continue out tenancy, without written/revised, agreement as land lord said he will send the new agreement. but later on landlord asked us to increase the rent by more then 27% of the existing pm rent. can she increase the rent to such an extent in one Go. where as we had already increased 5% pm for last two year. Now she has served us the notice to vacate. we have spent lot of amount from own pocket to improve the house. please advise? The said property is in Lahore, Punjab.

you should get a stay order from the civil court and also defend the eviction petition if filed by your landlord. More over she can demand to increase upto 25% after every 3 years.
