Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in United States
My ex and I broke up and I took the dog. He bought her for me, and I have paid to take care of her ever since we bought her. He is threatening to call the police. Can he really take her?

If it was a gift, it is yours. The police won't do a thing if he is stupid enough to call. If you continue to listen to him, you are enabling him to continue. You broke up, so move on. The only thing you should say to him, one time, is to do the same.
I suggest you pay a very well experienced, 'seasoned' attorney at this time: She can provide you with very detailed legal guidance and counsel. We attorneys here do not solicit clients fyi. If you came to me, I would have several questions for you. I find it markedly disturbing and unwholesome that you are in a situation facing ongoing threats. I suggest to you that you may feel most comfortable with an attorney who is your same gender. Be wary of free advice.
