Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in India

Hi,

I wish to know one thing,

If a boy make physical relationship with a girl

Promising her to marry her,

But later on refuses to marry her,

Is the boy guilty and is it against law?

Perhaps yes..

And the girl can can file a case against the boy and also can get the boy arrested..

But if the same thing is done by a Girl to a Boy,

Can boy too file a case or get the girl arrested??

A girl kept relationship with a boy for last 8years, saying that she will marry him

But now she is refusing to marry the boy.

What can be done about this?

Or she is girl..so nothing can be done against her!!!!

The girl is NOT guilty and no case maintainable against a female for carrying on physical relationship with a man. On the contrary, she may be entitled to damages under D.V.A. if the man causes her any kind of harm / hurt. In a given situation, the man may also be liable to provide her maintenance till she is married.

Therefore, better you stay away, if she has refused to marry you.
