Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
I had appointed a lawyer to obtain a succession certificate of my late mother to get her shares transferred in my name. This was applied in Allahabad, U.P. The certificate he has given is tilted "Pariwarik Sadasyata praman patra". Is this the same as succession certificate? do i need to get it translated to english for share transfer?

Yes this document may be used as an succession certificate along with death certificates of your mother.Better to translate to avoid delay.
