Legally

If your dad died before 2000 then your mom is entitled to one third the money if he died after 2000 then she is entitled to one half. The remaining sum is to be divided equally amongst the children. You can serve your mom a letter claiming your share of the money. If she refuses to act then a formal pre-action protocol letter followed by an action in the courts for your share.

Depending on your claim the matter may not qualify as a high court matter.

One has to check if it makes economic sense to claim this money.

Moral.

Consider the moral and social implications of a suit against your mom.
