Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My dad made a gift of deed of his house paid the lawyer did everything in 2015. Kept querying about the document, only got excuses,he died in 2016,Still to this day I can't get it. I have the receipt. Help me please I don't know what to do again this is holding me back.
