Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My dad was terminally ill and died during the sale of a lot of land. The buyer had 90 days to pay, dad died at 54 days but buyer got his loan approved at 150 days. Do I have to complete the sale? Land was being sold for money for dad treatment. Buyer took possession of land upon dad's death. Contract has no clause upon death only the 90days to pay clause and he paid one dollar $1. Buyer knew dad was terminal and brought contract to hospital where it was signed. He only has contract to purchase and claims the land.

This is a complex matter that involves the estate of your father on the one hand and the validity of the agreement on the other hand.

Did your dad leave a will knowing he was terminally ill?

If no will or an invalid will then is your mom legally married to your dad and is she alive?

If mom and dad have died then how many children and do your father's name appear in your birth certificate under name of father?

Your father's estate has to be administered and the personal representative can complete the sale of the land or if it can be proven the agreement is void or voidable then the next step is to file a high court action for possession of property.
