When your dad died intestate (no will) your mom was entitled to one half of the estate and the children an equal share of the other half. When you and your sister sign over (renounce) your interest in the estate in favour of your mom she became the sole owner of the entire estate. Your mom could then deal with her property as she wishes. If she transferred her property to your sister then the property belongs to your sister. If she made a Will and devised the property to your sister then it belongs to your sister. If she died intestate (no Will) then all the children are entitled to an equal share of the estate. Your sister is entitled to her share. It is not up to anyone to determine who is entitled to and what is a fair share to someone else's (your mom's) estate. Remember you gave up your title and share to your mom. You are entitled to your share in your mom's estate
