Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

My father has a residential property in his name ,which is shown in government records as being purchased from funds obtained by selling ancestral lands in our native town.He has also made a will giving his 1/6 th share in the residential property to my sister after his death (which occurred 3 weeks ago).We 4 brothers and 1 sister are his progeny.My question is.. Is my father entitled to give away his share to my sister as mentioned in his will after his death on 6th December ?

Hello,

If the ancestral property in this case is the "share" your father received after the partition of the Main Ancestral Property than he had a right to dispose it as per his will.
