Firstly you need to know if the co-ownership is joint or tenants in common. If it is joint and you die without severing the joint tenancy everything goes to your aunt. Your estate gets nothing so your will has no value.

You do not need to notify anyone of your will or its contents. You can draft your will yourself and sign it before two independent witnesses all three persons must be together when you sign and have it witnessed. The witnesses should be informed that it is your will and you want them to witness your signing of it and to place theirs signatures as witnesses. They do not need to know of its contents. I suggest you have an attorney-at-law prepare the will and advise you accordingly.......they key issue is joint tenancy or tenants in common.

Review your deed firstly...........Anand Seepersad 1-868-786-3240
