Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
My grandparents died leaving their assets by will to their five children equally. My mother, who was one of the heirs, is no more. I am told that her share is nullified by her demise and that I am not entitled to it even though in the understanding of the term, as her daughter, I am her legal heir. Is this correct?

Yes, you have right over your mothers share. If they do not like to give your share you can challenge in the court.

Dear Madam,
No, the information given to you is incorrect. Since your grandparents have Willed an equal share for your mother, you automatically inherit her share as her sole surviving legal heir.
