Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My mother and father built our home where my two sisters and i currently reside and have been residing all our lives. Our mom passed and my father remarried a woman younger than all of us. My youngest sister is 28. Can she have us thrown out or can our father throw us out even though we have been here our entire lives. We pay bills and we have invested in our home from birth?

Is your father the legal owner of the land and house? If he is and he revokes his licence granted to you and your sisters you all become trespassers and can be removed.

Consider benefit and detriment. Do you pay rent?. Calculate the rent due for the number of months x years after 18 (adult) and deduct whatever reasonable expenses. It maybe that you owe your father.

In the absence of any promise made to you by your mother/father that you relied upon and you acted on that promise to your detriment you do not have any equitable claims.

The short answer is yes
