Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pakistan
My mother purchased a house in Pakistan. The sale deed was registered with the housing authority and a list of her children was appended as heirs (5 male and 1 female). Since the mother's passing away in January 2013, 2 sons, including me, have lived in the house while other siblings have lived in their own separate houses. Now one or two siblings, not living in house, have demanded that the house be sold and they be given their share according to Sharia (Sunni hanafi). Two living in house oppose the sale, one is undecided. Is there a legal solution possible, that does not involve the selling of the house, for example the non-occupants be paid pro rata rent by occupants OR occupants buy market share of non-occupants?
