Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
The ownership of our house is in the name of my father who passed away.
Now is it necessary to get it transferred on papers in the name of my mother or it is automatically transferred in my mother's name?

Dear Sir / Madam,
No transfer of title to property is automatic or implied. You will need to process and complete the necessary transfer of title formalities as laid down by the local Tehsildar / District Registrar for transfer of the title of the property in the name of your mother.
