Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My sister died in Trinidad and Tobago she left her property to me. The probate has not yet been applied for but the executor will not give me a copy of the will claiming that the other parts of the will do not apply to me. As a beneficiary am I entitled to a copy of the wiil.

Yes, you are entitled to a copy of the Will. When did you sister pass? If it was several years ago and no probate was started you can request the executor be passed over and you be granted the right to probate the will by Letters of Administration with Will annexed.

You must officially request the executor to provide a copy of the Will for the process to begin. Who is occupying the property? If you have anyone occupying your property without your consent or paying you a rent you can lose your property?
