Legal Question in Workers Comp in India
Since when is Labour welfare cess 1% applicable to contractors in Maharashtra? Is it as per GR dated 17/6/2010 which is signed by Dr. Kavita Gupta, Secretary, Labour Department? Why is MCGM Mumbai collecting Cess at 1% from 1/1/2008 if the GR date is 17/6/2010? Kindly advise.
