Dear Zakeer,
The lawyer cannot claim a single rupee more than the fees agreed between you and him to represent your case. You can easily lodge a complaint against the lawyer online on the Bar Council of India (BCI) website giving his Registration No. for appropriate action to be taken against him by the BCI. You can also seek Police intervention to amicably resolve and settle the issue.
