Divorcing and Jointly Renting

My husband and I have been living apart for the past 5 months. I told him that I was filing for divorce on Monday, so he came to the house the weekend prior to, now he won't leave since his name is on the lease. I have been the only one paying rent for the past 7 months. Is there anyway to keep him away or out?

I am not a domestic relations attorney, but it appears to me that the logical action since you have filed for divorce is to get a restraining order requiring your husband to stay away from you. Under your circumstances I would think the judge would grant your request. Good luck.
