Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama
A friend of mine's car was hit while he was waiting in a private parking lot. He was hit by someone who works in the establishment who owns the parking lot. The person told my friend that he is not liable to pay damages because it's a private lot. Is this true?

That sounds really shady. There may be more to the story, but unless your friend was there robbing or vandalizing the place, the person that hit him should pay for the damage he caused.
