Can you file bankruptcy without including your home in the bankruptcy? If so, how does this work?

Well you actually will need a lawyer because the bankruptcy code is difficult to understand. You can keep your house if there is a lien on the house and the equity is less than $10,000. Of course with the economy as it is, it is hard to sell a house for what you think the value is. So it would be important to know what the houses in the area have sold for recently. It is complicated but can be done carefully. If I can help please call me.
