Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Alabama
Will Bankruptcy affect me getting a job?
I am currently in college for Business Administration and I have plans to use job placement whenever I graduate. Last year, due to some serious financial difficulties due to my husband losing his business and my being disabled, we had to file Chapter 13. I was just wondering will this effect me getting a job?
Thank you for your time.

Re: Will Bankruptcy affect me getting a job?
It certainly can. The best to do is be honest. Bankruptcy is at an all time high nation wide. People are much quicker to give a second chance. When you have legitimate reasons and are just starting your career, many peole will overlook it. Don't be disappointed if one or two seem to be bothered. Just keep trying and being honest. I think you will have about the same amount of success you have otherwise, given your grades and other activities. Most employers are interested in how smart you are, not your early problems associated with your husband's job. Good Luck. [email protected]
