Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
I have a booth at a flea market. I had a customer who bought furniture from me 4 months ago and hasn't picked up the furniture yet. After several calls from me begging her to get the furniture because I have no way to store it, she kept promising to pickup. Now, she has been evicted from her apartment and no longer has use for the furniture. It was understood from day one there are no refunds. She now wants the money back. What can I do? I tried to deliver it to her, at first she said ok and scheduled a time with me, Iwhen try to deliver she calls the day of and says she will not be at home. She then states that she will come get it and never does. Now she wants the money back after me storing it for 4 months, I lost sales for it, could have sold it several times.
