Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
Me and my brother in law are exploring starting a small business primarily operated from the home. It is my concept and he is looking to just invest and help market/sales. I am not looking to LLC at this time but possibly if business grows. My question: If I decide to do a partnership agreement with him, do we both need to apply for a business license as a Sole Proprietorship or just me?
Thanks,

If you form a partnership you would license the business as a partnership. No formal document is required to form a partnership.
