Cost Cutting

My wife was office manager for a group of 12 doctors. they hired an outside management group to handle billing, hiring, and running the office. My wife was then given the title of assistant director and given the task of doing the billing and coding. After 5 months she was called in , told they had eliminated her position and there were no other openings in the company and she was let go. The next day a younger person ( my wife is 51) was hired to do her job. She was not from within the company, she was hired from outside.

Do we have legal recouse?
