customer data base
I would like to know the legality of opening a new business to compete with my current employer, and taking alot of his customers, since I am their salesman. can I legally take his data base as a beginning point for a new business????

Re: customer data base
you need to watch out for any non-competition agreement that you signed when you started your job, and there may be problems with trade secrets that may include your employers customer list. if you use the list and it is a trade secret as determined by law you could be liable for damages that your employer sufers as a result of your use. before you do anything it would be wise to consult an attorney on this very serious and complex matter. call me if you wish a free consultation.
