Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
Employment practices
I was recently contacted by a company which wished to hire me away from a 15 year career. I intitally rejected the idea, however they promised me a significant amount of stock options (60,000) in their company which would be worth about $1.2 million.
Faced with this offer I gave up part of my current salary and a huge amount of accumulated benefits. Asked my family to make the sacrifice. After 3 months with the company the stock option document arrrived but only for 26,000 shares. A significant disparency. WHAT recourse do I have?

Re: Employment practices
depending on the proof that you have of the initial offer you could have a cause of action for breach of contract. the real test would be the proof that you have of the initial offer.
