Under Alabama law, generally each employee owes a duty to his or her employer to act in a manner as to not intentionally injure or damage one's employer -- i.e., you don't give the employer's confidential customer list and pricing schedule/strategy to a competitor.

An employee breaching their duty of loyalty may be called upon in a court of law to answer for any such resulting damages.
