Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama

Leasing a truck (big rig)

My fiance is leasing a truck with a trucking company. His ontract is for two years and he has 6 months left. I have been depositing his checks he recieves from the company and he has giving me permission to check his statements as they come to the house. A letter arrived from the bank about one of his paychecks I deposited from the company. Apparently the check bounced, the bank is requiring him to pay the amount of the check and alos the fee for the return check. I assume that the company is in trouble if they can't even cover his check. What can be done so he doesn't lose all of the time and effort he put into owning his truck and what can be done about the returned check. Is this a case that can be won if he took them to court to be released from the contract and still have his truck as his own.

Re: Leasing a truck (big rig)

That depends upon the term of the lease and whether they indeed are in financial trouble. Some of these companies operate close to the line and they could have just deposited a check into the wrong account.
