Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
nonprofit charity for medical cost
I want to begin a non profit charity to cover medical cost for certain christian religious groups. Qualifying members would contribute on a volunteer basis versus monthly premiums. I intend comply with state requirements for nonprofit businesses and federal requirements under IRS.
Is it legal in Alabama to have such a charitable non profit for this reason?

Re: nonprofit charity for medical cost
Right off hand, I don't see a problem with it. We would need to discuss things in more detail, however. If you don't already have an attorney, feel free to call or email me and we can talk more. There is no fee for that initial consultation.
Thanks!
