Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
Power of Attorney, only by Attorney?
I was told today that if a debt management company were to help me consolidate my debts, that the only way a firm representing the credit card company would accept a power of attorney is if it were actually signed by a licensed attorney. True?

A power of attorney does not require the signature of a licensed attorney to be valid. Your signature on the power of attorney should be notorized by a notary public. Many attorneys happen to be notaries.
