Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
Usage of trademark
I contacted Kraft Foods about making purses from Kool-Aid Jammers packages that I purchased. I am recycling the packages into purses. Kraft Foods sent a letter stating that they would not allow me to use the name or trademark. My question is if I purchase the Kool-Aid Jammers and empty the contents then am I still infringing on the trademark by using the empty packages and making them into handbags and totes. Does this constitue illegal use of a trademark?
Thanks for your advice.

Re: Usage of trademark
Yes. They have the packaging trademarked, not the contents. I would attempt to work out some kind of licensing deal with them if possible.
