Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama
what are a wives' rights in husbands buisness
If a woman has been married to a man for 26 years does she have any rights as to his buisness? My husband has just recently become self-employed with a partner. Together, we have taken on a lot of debt due to loans for the company as well as family loans to sustain ourselves and our 3 children. Upon dicovering serious problems in the company costing us money,I have tried to interject my suggestions. I have been totally abused because of it. Do I have any rights here to try and protect my livlihood as well as my children's?

Re: what are a wives' rights in husbands buisness
a spouse may have certain property or marital rights in a part of a spouse's business upon death or divorce, however, unless you are named in the business as a member by way of office or some ownership right, then i know of no way that you can claim a right to help run the business.
