Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Alabama
pregnancy discrimination
I have worked at a small buisness part time for two months. I informed a coworker about my pregnancy. She said she would inform my boss about it. The very next day my boss called to say i was fired without giving me any prior warnings to my termination. Do i have a case for wrongful termination based on pregnancy?

Re: pregnancy discrimination
It certainly appears to be a case of pregnancy discrimination, but the statute which prohibits pregnancy discrimination only applies to employers with 15 or more employees. I suggest you talk to an attorney in your area for more information.
