Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Arbitration Deadlines
Good morning. It took my law firm 2.5 years to bring an auto fraud
case to arbitration even though the judge ordered arbitration three
months after filing the suit. We recently completed the arbitration
and the arbitrator said he would have a ruling in 10 days. He later
extended the deadline to the defense for closing briefs and I was
promised a ruling within another 10 days. Now my attorney is
telling me ''any day now.'' Does this sound unusual to you? All the
stops and goes and broken promises? Do I have any rights here?
